Drawing in Bed!

I’m sure anyone who’s owned a Wacom tablet for any reasonable length of time has probably figured this out themselves, but just in case: I’ve happened upon the perfect solution for in-bed drawing… the WacomBook Pro!

My wonderful electric blanket, combined with the comfort of being in bed might actually lead to some semi-decent concept art for our next iPhone game! I’m very excited to be getting back into full-pace game development again, as the holidays didn’t really see much productivity after the release of Grinchmas.

We’ve all been putting some time into getting odds-and-ends checked off over the past few weeks. In my case, this means a lot of nasty end-of-year tax yuckiness, as well as working on hiring our first employee. While all these things are quite important to Limbic, I don’t get the same sense of satisfaction as real saving-data-to-disk work like these concept images I’m going to be working on in the next few days.

Tomorrow should be a fun day too, I’ll be flying out to KLVK (Livermore Municipal Airport) for some alternate airport training. I haven’t flown that far since I did my first big chunk of flight training seven years ago, so it’ll be a nice chance to hit some cruise speeds in the 172SP and try a new traffic pattern. They’ve got a big wide runway out there too, so I’m expecting to make some terrible too-high approaches the first few times around.

Limbic is Hiring

We’re looking for 3D artists over at Limbic Software:

  • Comfortable editing basic text files to add texture/model information.

Long Hiatus!

As you’ve likely noticed, I haven’t been updating lately – I’ve been busy launching a new company, Limbic Software, and pushing some really cool stuff with games on the iPhone.
